Blog Entry 8. Define Courage

Courage (also bravery, fortitude, or intrepidity) is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. "Physical courage" is courage in the face of physical pain, hardship, death, or threat of death, while "moral courage" is the ability to act rightly in the face of popular opposition, shame, scandal, or discouragement.

According to the World Wide Web this is the definition of courage. I dont agree. Courage comes from trust. What trust you may ask. Well, from this trust.

Joshua 1:9

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Fear, danger, pain, acting accordingly in a morally questionable situation? No,that's not courage to me. Courage to me is purely trusting this verse. Recently I have been in some bad situations, and I walked out unharmed. All these situations were created at my own hand,my own lack of judgement,my own denial,my own rebellion.

Never have you seen the Love of our Father like you will see it once you accept and believe what is said in Joshua 1:9. In dangerous or seemingly impossible situations it is always easier to try and make an excuse for why this has happened or that has happened, why dont you grow a pair and admit it was you,it was your fault, you screwed up?! I have,I admitted it,I screwed up,I admitted it not to man,but to my Father,my Lord,my Saviour,my God. Admitting you were wrong can become the hardest thing you may ever have to do,but it will be well worth it. Only after admitting,or confessing, did I begin, merely begin to understand what courage is. Courage is trust. Trust is admitting and accepting you will be forgiven. Then only will you be granted courage.

I dont care if you read this, but if you do,dont trust me,trust God. For your own sake.

Blog Entry 7. I Dont hate you.

Hatred (or hate) is a deep and emotional extreme dislike, directed against a certain object or class of objects. The objects of such hatred can vary widely, from inanimate objects to animals, oneself or other people, entire groups of people, people in general, existence, or the whole world. Though not necessarily, hatred is often associated with feelings of anger and disposition towards hostility against the objects of hatred. Hatred can become very driven. Actions after a lingering thought are not uncommon upon people or oneself. Hatred can go as far as war or just a simple verbal outrage to even oneself commiting suicide for they hate the world or whatever is bothering him/her enough to push the envelope. Hatred can be considered a disease and has been known to be a key part when diagnosing anxiety, depression and sex addiction to over come hateful feelings..

This is such a powerful word. Some people dont even realise it when they use it. I dont think I have ever truly hated anything in my life, most of the anger and hatred I have displayed was most likely directed towards myself in a very indirect manner. Like the above description says,"anxiety, depression and sex addiction to over come hateful feelings.."

Use. Abuse. Take what I want when I want it. This used to be how I lived my life. I am starting to question myself every day and I am really not enjoying it.

Remember,screw you.

Blog Entry 5. Prayer of the Refugee

Prayer Of The Refugee Lyrics
Artist(Band):Rise Against
Review The Song (215)Print the Lyrics
Warm yourself by the fire, son,
And the morning will come soon.
I'll tell you stories of a better time,
In a place that we once knew.

Before we packed our bags
And left all this behind us in the dust,
We had a place that we could call home,
And a life no one could touch.

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

Down!

We are the angry and the desperate,
The hungry, and the cold,
We are the ones who kept quiet,
And always did what we were told.

But we've been sweating while you slept so calm,
In the safety of your home.
We've been pulling out the nails that hold up
Everything you've known.

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

So open your eyes child,
Let's be on our way.
Broken windows and ashes
Are guiding the way.

Keep quiet no longer,
We'll sing through the day,
Of the lives that we've lost,
And the lives we've reclaimed.

Go!

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

Don't hold me up now,
I can stand my own ground,
I don't need your help now,
You will let me down, down, down!

Don't hold me up...
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't hold me up...
(I don't need your help)
No! No! No!
Don't hold me up!
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't hold me up!
(I don't need your help, I'll stand my ground)
Don't let me down, down, down, down, down!

Blog Entry 4. Omerta

Omertà[1] is a popular attitude and code of honor, common in areas of southern Italy, such as Sicily, Apulia, Calabria, and Campania, where criminal organizations such as the Mafia, 'Ndrangheta, Sacra Corona Unita, and Camorra are strong. It also exists to a lesser extent in certain Italian-American neighborhoods where the Italian-American Mafia has influence and other Italian ethnic enclaves in countries where there is the presence of Italian organized crime (i.e. Germany, Canada, Australia).[citation needed] A common definition is the "code of silence".
Omertà implies “the categorical prohibition of cooperation with state authorities or reliance on its services, even when one has been victim of a crime.[2] Even if somebody is convicted of a crime he has not committed, he is supposed to serve the sentence without giving the police any information about the real criminal, even if that criminal has nothing to do with the Mafia himself. Within Mafia culture, breaking omertà is punishable by death.
The code was adopted by Sicilians long before the emergence of Cosa Nostra (some observers date it to the 16th century as a way of opposing Spanish rule).[3] It is also deeply rooted in rural Crete, Greece.[4]

"Who ever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward, who ever can not take care of himself without that law is both, for a wounded man shall say to his assailant,If I live I will kill you,if I die,you are forgiven, such is the rule of honour."

And this brings me to the next point. Honour. What the fuck happened to honour? Since when does winning a fight with your pack of dogs count as winning? I cant remember the last time I saw a proper one on one fight, two guys slugging it out oldschool style. No friends backing you up,no bats or chains,a pure unadulterated fist fight to the very end.

I tend to think of myself as one of the last bastions of decent bad ass. I call people older than myself Sir and Madam, get up when someone enters a room and greet with a firm handshake. But do not tempt the snake,I will bite. And I will not think twice about knocking your head of if you piss me off.

Guys, and ladies,if you ever read this, put down your phone the next time someone walks into a room, get up and greet them. And if someone cuts you off in traffic, give him the finger, lets see if they have the balls to fuck with you. Less talk. More fight. Demand respect, but give it when it is due. This is me saying to society, screw your love not fight bullshit ideas. If you fuck with me,I WILL bite a piece of your face off.

Blog Entry 3. Love it. Hate it.

Jack Daniels. Greatest drink ever invented, worst hangover you could possibly imagine. I can not begin to tell you how much my effing head hurts today. But it was ENTIRELY worth it. This is another screw you to society. Everything about Jack Daniels is wrong, yet so right. Put on your boots, buy a bottle, get hammered, start a fight, piss on a granny, moon a priest, live a little you arrogant prick. Put down that glass of R5000000-00 whiskey,it tastes like shit anyway?! Eat some real meat while you are at it. Remember, screw you.

Blog Entry 2. Cynicism

Cynicism (Greek: κυνισμός), in its original form, refers to the beliefs of an ancient school of Greek philosophers known as the Cynics (Greek: Κυνικοί, Latin: Cynici). Their philosophy was that the purpose of life was to live a life of Virtue in agreement with Nature. This meant rejecting all conventional desires for wealth, power, health, and fame, and by living a simple life free from all possessions. As reasoning creatures, people could gain happiness by rigorous training and by living in a way which was natural for humans. They believed that the world belonged equally to everyone, and that suffering was caused by false judgments of what was valuable and by the worthless customs and conventions which surrounded society. Many of these thoughts were later absorbed into Stoicism.
The first philosopher to outline these themes was Antisthenes, who had been a pupil of Socrates in the late 5th century BCE. He was followed by Diogenes of Sinope, who lived in a tub on the streets of Athens. Diogenes took Cynicism to its logical extremes, and came to be seen as the archetypal Cynic philosopher. He was followed by Crates of Thebes who gave away a large fortune so he could live a life of Cynic poverty in Athens. Cynicism spread with the rise of Imperial Rome in the 1st century, and Cynics could be found begging and preaching throughout the cities of the Empire. It finally disappeared in the late 5th century, although many of its ascetic and rhetorical ideas were adopted by early Christians.

If any one person had the balls to do this the world would be free of war and famine and rape and murder and fashion magazines telling you what you should wear and what you should look like. I wear faded black jeans that never belonged to any one specific label. I wear worn out shoes, because they are comfortable. I drive a beat up car, simply because I am not phased by the asshole in the BMW,my dick is probably bigger than his anyway.

This is me,giving the socialites and fashionista's a BIG FAT ONE FINGER SALUTE. Remember. Screw you.
